BigRedBuster
I give him kudos for what I've heard about the speech. If he would have gone in with the campaign attitude, he may not have gotten out alive. Link to comment

Danny Bateman
Tillerson's contempt for the American press, and by extension, any ability for citizens to know what anything about our foreign policy is a disgrace. 1 Link to comment

NM11046
He's kinda smart to go where he will get "good will". Pretty much everywhere else he could have gone would have shunned him. There would have been marches and pickets etc. Link to comment
zoogs
Sounds like the war drums are beating for Iran. Link to comment
BigRedBuster
This is going to be interesting. I'll have to give him kudos for this....to a certain extent. What he is doing is finding common ground that Israel can agree and work with Arab countries on. Meanwhile, Iran continues to be a country (at least the radical side of their governmental leadership) that supports terrorism and causes problems in the region. I have always heard the majority of Iranians do not support this radicalism. The fear is that when you start changing alliances in that region, you never know what you are going to get. On the other hand, the current situation is unsustainable. And...no....I do not support a war against Iran. Link to comment
Danny Bateman
It's going to be ironic as hell when Trump, who's only foreign policy chops consisted of him railing against his opponent's Iraq War vote and falsely claiming he didn't support that war, takes us to war with Iran. And yes, the Iranian people, who are largely peaceful and send us some of our brightest immigrant minds, don't care for their radical leadership. A travel ban on Iranians really hurt our medical residency programs. 1 Link to comment
zoogs
Iran's moderate president recently (few days ago) won his re-election. I believe it was decisive. Link to comment
BigRedBuster
The problem is that in Iran, the President doesn't control a lot of the major issues that affect foreign policy. 1 Link to comment

NM11046
Anybody else catch the Trump gals wearing mantilla's to Rome and to visit the Pope? Not a big deal till you recall they didn't do the same courtesy while in a muslim country. It's subtle but an interesting choice I thought. 2 Link to comment
