I don’t believe so.   Isn’t the text saying the elected representatives should make laws not the courts?

No. Thomas literally says the supreme court should go back and review decades old settled law.

It's all utter hypocrisy especially coming on the heels of the Court overturning New York's gun control law.  There's obviously no jurisprudence here.  It's just a bunch of Christian activists judges forgetting about that little part of separation of Church and State.

He's basically saying it should be left to the states.

Now, because of aggressive erosion of Democracy (see the State of Wisconsin), it's borderline impossible for the people to effect legislation in states anyway.

I hope the bloated Cheeto was worth it. Also, don't forget, blame Biden for inflation effecting the entire world.  Vote for Rs in November.

Which is what people trying to whitewash the Civil War said about the South's intentions, ie: it wasn't about preserving slavery, it was about state's rights.

(it was about slavery)

Boy, he doesn't know the leader of the Christian movement from 2000 years ago.  The Christian faith says there is 'neither male or female, jew or gentile, etc' - that all are one in Christ and are all equal.

After 911 we heard people stating that the moderate Muslim leaders need to denounce the radical terrorist who have hijacked their religion.  It is now time for moderate Christian leaders in America to denounce these radical "Christian" nationalist terrorists who are hijacking the faith of many in this country and distorting the truth of the
Gospel for political power and gain.

Thomas did not mention Loving v. Virginia, the 1967 case that found laws banning interracial marriage to be unconstitutional, Acosta remarked. Thomas’ wife, Ginni Thomas, is White, and has been the focus of multiple reports regarding her communications with people within former President Donald Trump’s administration, members of Congress, and people involved in the organization of protests that led to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

“To me it’s a clear indication that if it’s a case that impacts him directly, it’s safe,” Obergefell said, “but if it’s a case that protects other people, other people who are unlike him, then we’re not very safe.”

“The right to interracial marriage is only six years older than a woman’s right to abortion,” he noted. “Our nation has a much longer history of denying interracial marriage. Do we want to go back to the late 18th century, the originalist who’s saying we can only interpret the constitution as of the time it was written? When that constitution was written, ‘We, the People,’ did not include blacks, indigenous people, it did not include women, it did not include queer people. That is not a more perfect union.”

I'm against Jingoism as much as the next American, but even I can recite the Pledge from heart.

What a paper tiger!

So can most school children since it is recited everyday.  Even if many Republican voters insist it’s not…
