Of course her Republican colleagues weren't listening/didn't care, but Katie Porter once again with the perfect analogy.

1) analogy doesn’t work because Katie can’t just print more money in her fictional scenario like the fed can.
2) in her fictional scenario, the individual borrower can declare BK.

It's the perfect analogy.  The money has been spent...and now you have to pay the bills.  It's mind blowing that the party that claims to be pro business...bla bla bla....doesn't understand that the time to argue about spending.....ding ding ding....is when the money is spent....not when the bill is due.

But.......of course.....that isn't true for Republicans when a Democrat is in office.

Her analogy is flawed because Katie Porter citizen cannot just print money to pay bills like the Fed can.  I get what she is trying to say, she just doesn’t say it properly.

So that’s  the new Republican talking point.

why did it change?

PS….your talking point is idiotic.

1) We know an analogy is not the same as saying two things are exactly equal, so saying they aren't identical does not invalidate the analogy.

2) The first point you raise is true and makes Porter's overall point even stronger.

3) Governments can default, which is analogous to bankruptcy.

Guys come on

we should all agree that analogies are flawed (and therefore useless B.S.) when they aren't perfectly 1:1 equivalent in every single way

I haven't seen Archy since he fled to Hungary. I like to think of him at a goulash shack in Budapest, quietly weeping and wanting to apologize for everything he's ever said.

You sure bring that guy up a lot for not “having seen” him :laughpound
