The Republican Utopia

3 Republican state legislators from West Virginia introduced a bill to take $10M from the state surplus and offer it to fund the wall.  The state tax payer funded surplus.  The state that is fighting the worst opioid crisis in this country has 3 republicans that think a wall is a more important use of their constituents money than helping fight drug abuse.

A state that's not even on the border.

But that theory relies on the GOP pulling their heads out and realizing the government does important stuff and should actually be, you know, running and stuff...

None of them will admit that. One of the basic tenants of the modern-day GOP is that the Government is worthless and does nothing worthy of the taxes given to it.

This is a far cry from the Eisenhower days of the Republican Party, to say the very least, when Government work and workers were valued and respected.

Which is funny, because for almost two years we were constantly reminded that during that era the Democrats were a bunch of racist asshats.

Funny how that's an important thing to remember from that era, but not how the Republicans were at that time.
