knapplc
If nothing else, these impeachment hearings have been an indictment on the partisan politics facing our country today. Remember - Republicans and Democrats are not the government. They are private clubs whose focus is politics and who proffer candidates for office. We don't have to choose their candidates - we're just conditioned to. That partisanship is driving one party to completely fail to do the duty they promised to do - uphold the Constitution. Here's the whole thread unwrapped: Good morning. I’d like to highlight some things in playbook before this busy day Taking stock of where we are ... — top republican officials tell us that not a single GOP vote has inched any closer toward voting to impeach the president. — House Democrats are no longer even pretending they think their republicans colleagues are on the level. And despite what you hear from pelosi, Democrats are internally certain they will vote to impeach trump. That decisions been made. — even for the well versed on the topic, the hearings have been a slog. They are confusing, long, etc. but have compiled a stunning amount of evidence in this compressed period of time And, as @heatherscope pointed out to me in an email, it’s almost a throwback to an earlier time — the hearings have been challenging though. They’ve reinforced the trench warfare nature of this issue. And some of the most impactful moment — schiff last night — have been buried. — SONDLAND is very key today — understatement of the year. Rs will try to position him as a rogue actor who would do anything to impress trump -but wasn’t hearing from the president directly. We’ll see if that line is even feasible — Dems will, of course, position sondland as an agent who was tasked with carrying out a “shadow” foreign policy, where the president was looking to strong arm a nation into investigating his rival. Danny Bateman
The RNC allotted $100K to bulk buy the president's son's book so it could be hit the top seller lists. This is why they can all go. The rot is institutional. A fish rots from the head, but it rots all the way down. 3 Link to comment

Stuff like that. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rollingstone.com/politics/political-commentary/john-bolton-hawk-iraq-war-criminal-882916/amp/ Trying to get us into war with Iran. Keeping medicine from entering Iran in order for citizens to overthrow govt. Keeping food from entering Venezuela in order for citizens to overthrow govt. Regime change war in democratic countries in order to gain natural resources such as oil. This is who this man is and people are acting like hes some sort of hero because he might testify against Trump. Link to comment
