Kids don't get the same thrill we got back in the day when the TV was rolled into the room. Today you have A/V equipment hanging from your ceiling, right? It's just always there.

You knew when that TV rolled in, it was going to be a good day.

Dude, literally, almost word for word, that was said to me the other day by a buddy!

The tv on the cart was a magical day!

We just have smartboards that we connect wirelessly to our computers and can display what is on our screen.

What about that is dishonest? It's a prayer session (source: DeSantis, "God"), the kids are required to be there, in the room, with the people praying.

Are the kids allowed to opt out? Nope. Are the people who want to use this time doing it away from the kids who want to opt out? Nope.

Dishonest? Nope.

The law in question says otherwise.  Yes you were dishonest.

It is not a "mandated prayer session" You're wrong, no matter how many times you repeat that DeSantis said "God".

Mmmm....don't think so.

A period of silence in which kids will be praying, and other kids who don't want to pray, meditate or in any way engage in anything "spiritual" are required to be there, in the same room.

That's a prayer session, the non-praying kids have to be there. It's the law.

Now, remove the kids who want to pray during that time, and let the non-praying kids go about their regular school activities? No problem. But this requires the kids to be in the room with the praying kids. And that's not OK.

Thanks. Pretty straight forward that "it is not a mandatory prayer session".

So, for you, it's enough that they say "It's not a mandatory prayer session" even though it has all the trappings of a mandatory prayer session, it was signed in a religious facility attended by clergy, DeSantis and the bill's promulgator specifically cite "God" as their reasoning, the language of the bill enables Bible study in public schools...

I mean, if that tissue-thin denial is enough for you... swell?  But it's not enough for people who don't want state-sanctioned prayer in our schools.

Roughly 80% of the kids might use the time to pray to their respective God(s).

Roughly 15% might reflect upon their mindfulness and consciousness though not really care one way or the other.

Roughly 5% will think about how all organized religion is useless and waste their 2 minutes berating the teacher that makes them be silent.

100% of the students are required to attend the prayer session. 0% of the students should be required due to separation of church & state.

99% will be on their phones, tablets or have their heads down, sleeping.  Ha

Why is it necessary for the state government to mandate this silent 1-2 minutes?
