While I can't be shocked anymore by the willingness of Trump loyalists to buy into his grift, the money laundering theory is intriguing. NFTs and cryptocurrency seem tailor made for this kind of thing. Keep in mind that it came out years ago how Donald Trump liked to bilk his own charities, including the sale of a heroic Donald Trump oil painting where he kept both the proceeds and painting.
