I'm not holding my breath that he'll actually resign, or be removed from office, but this is a good step for a party that hasn't had a great track record the last, say, decade. Link to comment

Guy Chamberlin Posted January 11, 2023 Share Posted January 11, 2023 I mean, it SHOULD be embarrassing that Republican voters elected Santos, and that the GOP let him be sworn in when the full depths of his pathological lying were clearly established. But what does Santos resignation solve? Whoever is appointed to the office will vote exactly the same way, but without the entertainment value. The 2022 election was built on a pathological lie and I'm not sure Santos even cracks the Top 25 of Republicans without integrity. Unless you're going after all the liars, I say leave Santos in office and enjoy the Baron Munchausen memes for the next couple years. Link to comment
