Holy hell...

Holy hell is right. It's downright laughable that you think Trump asking a foreign government to investigate his political opponent pales in comparison to the "horror" on the list you provided. If we're going to attribute every stupid/bad thing that happens at every federal agency to the president, the list is going to be long no matter who the president is, and no matter how good they were at their job. With Trump it's something that he actually did himself.

Alright. Some simple questions for people arguing against impeachment as a waste of time.

1. Given the evidence we have now, if you were a Senator with a vote, would you vote to remove Trump from office?

2. What specific corruption by Democrats do you want to see addressed, and how exactly would you do so?

3. What is a better method of holding Trump and Republicans accountable for their misdeeds? Or should we just ignore them until November 2020?

4. @Redux None of the Democratic challengers in the field currently do anything for you? If you would rather Dems put time/money/effort into fielding the most formidable candidate to take on Trump, for you, who would that be?

My addition to #4 - is there any candidate that puts a D behind their name that you would ever vote for?

All this whiny bs is just because you've got party loyalists trying to act like they aren't.

The vibe I picked up was "Dems are just as bad as Republicans but won't hold their own accountable. Impeachment is about helping Dems politically. It's not going to work anyway. Dems are sleepwalking into next year thinking beating Trump is going to be cake."

I don't agree with any of that.

I'm with you 100%.  Lots of distraction and misguided focus - and just ignorance.

Next week should blow this thing wide open. The witnesses called this past week were just warming this thing up. Vindman, Volker, Sondland and others should bring alot of the beef the Republicans have been clamoring for to the table.

Also a breakdown of what we heard from the Mark Sandy deposition

Moreover, the premise of the entire impeachment is pretty dumb tbh. Even if conservatives were to be persuaded that what Trump did with regards to Ukraine was wrong, the severity of what he's being scrutinized for pales in comparison to the bullsh#t that's gone on under previous administrations that never received anywhere near the outrage. Here's a list just from our last president, and there would be equally horrible lists from Bush, Clinton, & Bush Sr, etc. Which begs the question, where the hell was all this outrage when your "team" was in power?... cue the excuses...

hmmmm.....Trumps administration has done many of those exact same things ....and some of them even worse.

But, every time it comes up, Trumpees answer with, well....everyone does it so it’s not a big deal.

Yes but.  Just listen.

We have to look backward at stuff other presidents have gotten away with.  That way, we know that we can't hold anyone in the present or future accountable for those same things...because it wouldn't be fair.

Plus, we have to complain when people DO hold them accountable because it's not fair and it's a waste of time to try and keep democracy intact...because Obama.

:sarcasm

Thank you for the strawman. That's not what anyone here has said.

Well, at least one poster has said that:
