Mavric
On-time Missouri baseball commit. Has taken OVs to Southern Illinois, Northern Illinois and Wright State. Seemed to be pretty interested in Illinois and Missouri before recent coaching changes. Has a cousin (Joe Acker) on the Husker baseball team and his best friend (Travis Anderson) is committed to the Husker Track & Field team. Also friends with Akenten. Wants to sign in April. 1 Quote Link to comment
desertshox
I stopped watching his highlights about 1 min in. The scoring was nice but show us him getting back on D after the bucket. Also the 25 footer was not a very smart shot. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
IL player of the year. Blowing up. He is a stud and I would be shocked if he signs with Nebraska. Northwestern is moving up his list fast. He is a big Illini fan but with the change of coaches that could change and Mizzo will be making a big push. Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
I like that he understand angles and is willing to distribute the ball to team mates. Quote Link to comment
Mavric
Smith won Mr. Basketball with 251 points, ahead of Evanston senior Nojel Eastern's 175 and Belleville Althoff senior Jordan Goodwin's 136. Smith received 41 first-place votes to Eastern's 22, and Smith was named on 61 of the 139 ballots received by Monday's deadline. Before his senior year, Smith was known more for his skill on the baseball diamond, and he was committed to play the sport at Missouri until an injury turned his focus to basketball. The uncommitted 6-foot-5 point guard averaged 21.9 points, 8.4 assists and 8.2 rebounds for Edwardsville, which went 30-2 and won a Class 4A sectional championship before losing to Simeon in the Illinois State Supersectional. Minnesota_husker
I would like to see him and Watson play together... Lots of talent. Sounds like he is going to visit K-state and Ohio State this weekend.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Huskball
Both of these articles/interviews that were written yesterday and today don't even mention Nebraska as a school he is considering or talked about. I think this is like the D. Holmes situation in football. He likes us, but we're never really in it (at least not to the level to be a serious contender). http://www.bnd.com/sports/high-school/prep-basketball/article139590768.html http://www.ksdk.com/sports/edwardsvilles-mark-smith-named-illinois-gatorade-player-of-the-year/424123372 Quote Link to comment
