f#&% f#&% f#&%!!!

This is what happens when...

The D's f#&% over Sanders

The D's make sure Mushy Mind gets the nod...sort of...

The D's talk about ripping it away from Mushy Mind

And now...a possible scandle the likes of which America has never seen.

The D's need to ALL GET BEHIND Mushy Mind right now, not tomorrow, right now.  They need to all give 100% support to him.  Sanders needs to come out and say it again "Vote for Mush errr Joe" he needs to do it now.

Meh. It's one poll.

It's never good to get too riled up about one poll.

This particular poll's methodology on swing state voters is as close to useless as anything we'll see.

I agree...people that look at these polls are freaking out over very little.  They are usually not all that accurate.

What does a poll of independent voters in swing states have to do with Ds getting behind Biden?

It's better to look at several polls than obsess over individual polls that tell you what you want or don't want to hear. I mean there's a poll here that has Texas tied and another that has Biden up + 1 in Texas. Texas is turning more blue but I still don't think it's going for Biden. Biden is ahead in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire and Wisconsin and North Carolina in the latest polls there. He's +3 in Florida. He's +8 in Michigan (there's no way he's winning Michigan by that much).

But you can find what you want to hear with polls of your choosing or freak out about the opposite, or you can look at websites that show aggregate polling.

Not much, many self described 'independents' are quite partisan.

on the 'progressives'  if I'm reading this right it means Bernie Sanders could have passed a bill stopping the spyi  Warrantless Government Surveillance.

Quote

Four senators were absent for the vote: Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Patty Murray (D-Wash.) As the vote broke, support from just one of them would have passed the amendment.

To your point, here's an article about how Biden is leading Trump by 40 points(!!!) With voters who dislike both candidates, a group Clinton lost by 17 points in the last election.

Biden continues to make overtures to the progressive wing of the party.

Don't worry, it's already being poo poo'd by progressives. The progressive wing should be thrilled to have the likes of AOC help fighting for progressive policies from within. Thats literally how you accomplish s#!t. Progressives could have 4 more years of Trump, or have people like AOC having actual sway within the White House. It's a f#&%ing no brainer.

Putting AOC on a committee is one thing, actually doing any of the things that committee recommends is something else.

I'm hopeful but remain deeply skeptical.

Nah, that's not what history teaches us.  Civil Rights shows us that the left wins.  Gandhi shows us that the left wins.  It's not always easy because powerful and rich majorities are entrenched in power.

Times are changing...most young people are not religious.  Christianity is dying and support for conservative right ideology is also eroding as well.  It's only a matter of time before the tide turns.  Most of us old progressives are ahead of our time.

You guys really need to define "really left" if you're gonna talk about this, especially about people dying. I feel like maybe you're talking about communism.

Maybe my impression of people who call themselves progressive is wrong but I feel like progressives want universal health care as the #1, maybe some want UBI, and they want to slow down/prevent climate change. I want at least 2 of those things to happen so that probably makes me a progressive and I don't feel like I'm "really" anything or "radical" anything. I suppose no radicals feel like they're radical but I fail to see how universal health care is "out there.' Honestly UBI doesn't sound that crazy to me either but I feel like there'd just be inflation.

When I refer to 'radical left ideology' I'm not talking about MLK/Ghandi or universal healthcare/UBI. I'm talking about class warfare, redistribution of wealth, reparations, eat the rich types. This neo-marxist socialist/communist perspective is getting more and more commonplace, especially in the liberal arts and humanities in colleges in the northeast/west coast/chicago.

Those like AOC are at least somewhat in that vein, although she's proven to be more of a tactful and compromising politician than I first expected.
