trump isn't going to do a debate where he can't hang his a$$ all over Biden's responses.

He'll fake some excuse to get out of it.  Just watch.

Debate commission to mute candidates during their opponent's initial responses to prevent interruptions

Former Vice President Joe Biden and President Donald Trump will have their microphones muted during portions of the second and final presidential debate on Thursday night, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced on Monday in a decision that angered the President.

The decision came after the commission met Monday afternoon to discuss potential rule changes to the debate format. They decided that the changes were needed because of how the first debate between Biden and Trump devolved into chaos, with the President frequently interrupting the former vice president.

"I'll participate. I just think it's very unfair," Trump said when asked by reporters about the change on Monday.

A source close to the commission told CNN the decision on muting the microphones was unanimous by its members and stressed that "this is not a change to rules but rather a move to promote adherence to rules that have been agreed to by both campaigns."
"A change to the rules would have required protracted and ultimately, in our view, unworkable negotiations between the two campaigns," the source said.

Remember when the GOP tried to convince America there was an actual "walking away from the Democrats" movement?

I remember someone posting here that was sure it was true. Maybe bnilhome? Alamo? Hard to say - they kinda blend together.

Anyoldhooooo, turns out there's a pretty noticeable exodus from the GOP these days.

Weird how that happens when you turn your party over to a grifter.

Hey, @Notre Dame Joe, tell us again how your cheeto god is such a great businessman.

President Donald Trump’s sprawling political operation has raised well over $1 billion since he took the White House in 2017 — and set a lot of it on fire.

Trump bought a $10 million Super Bowl ad when he didn’t yet have a challenger. He tapped his political organization to cover exorbitant legal fees related to his impeachment. Aides made flashy displays of their newfound wealth — including a fleet of luxury vehicles purchased by Brad Parscale, his former campaign manager.

Meanwhile, a web of limited liability companies hid more than $310 million in spending from disclosure, records show.

Now, just two weeks out from the election, some campaign aides privately acknowledge they are facing difficult spending decisions at a time when Democratic nominee Joe Biden has flooded the airwaves with advertising. That has put Trump in the position of needing to do more of his signature rallies as a substitute during the coronavirus pandemic while relying on an unproven theory that he can turn out supporters who are infrequent voters at historic levels.

“They spent their money on unnecessary overhead, lifestyles-of-the-rich-and-famous activity by the campaign staff and vanity ads way too early,” said Mike Murphy, a veteran Republican consultant who advised John McCain and Jeb Bush and is an outspoken Trump critic. “You could literally have 10 monkeys with flamethrowers go after the money, and they wouldn’t have burned through it as stupidly.”

Good ad by the LP and M Steele.  There are good people on the GOP side that have an America first attitude.  Unfortunately, there was only one in the US Senate who would stand up for America during the impeachment.  Trump has devastated the GOP and the ruins will be clearly seen on Nov 4th.   It will take people like Steele, Romney, Kasich, Maryland governor Hogan and others to bring it back.  The era of Reagan died a long time ago and his shadow can no longer be felt in the party.  There needs to be a new group of leaders, --none of the current Senators, who are stained by Trump outside of Romney,  can be considered.  Perhaps LP along wt Romney, Kasich and others can get a hold of the RNC and plot a way forward.  But I think there needs to be an exorcism to rid the party of all things trump.  This election will be a big part of that process.
