Moiraine
The 3rd debate is going to have 2 nights too, but I don’t know if they’re splitting it or if all the qualifying candidates will be at each one. I’m hoping they split it to 5 and 5. I also hope the 5th debate has stricter requirements. I want it to be 5 candidates or less with more time to speak. Link to comment

I think wt Biden we might have to have someone behind the scenes being the actual president. I think he is a piece of bread short of a sandwich. Link to comment

I agree he's always been prone - I dont know that we can compare the media coverage of every breath a candidate takes now days as a fair gauge of whether he's better or worse than he used to be. They'd amplify anything he says today. With that said, there are a bunch I prefer as well, but it's not because of the MSM coverage of his gaffes. Link to comment

TGHusker
My very early gut feeling tells me that Warren is going to beat Trump in a landslide. Warren's star is rising, Biden's is slipping and Trump's disapproval #s are going up in the Fox News poll. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/457486-biden-allies-float-scaling-back-events-to-limit-gaffes https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/457480-trump-disapproval-rises-to-near-record-fox-news-poll Quote President Trump's disapproval rating has jumped to 56 percent in a Fox News survey released Wednesday, just one point shy of the record high in Fox News polling. The survey found a 5 percentage point increase in Trump's disapproval from last month. The only time his disapproval rating was higher, according to Fox News, was when it reached 57 percent in October 2017. Arizona may go blue if the trend continues there. They haven't been blue since Bill Clinton. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/republicans-concerned-over-trumps-strength-in-arizona-heading-into-2020 Quote Some Democrats are eyeing Texas as a longshot pickup in the 2020 presidential race. But Republicans who are keeping an eye on the national electoral landscape say the party should be more concerned that Arizona could go from red to blue this time around. “Arizona typically has been, in a presidential year, somewhere around an eight-point Republican advantage and Trump only won Arizona with about three points. So, I definitely think Arizona is very competitive from my perspective," Paul Bentz, vice president of research and strategy at High Ground, a Phoenix-based firm specializing in public opinion surveys, strategy, and campaign management, told the Washington Examiner. "Arizona is more likely to be a toss-up than Texas is." Quote Similar to Texas, Arizona is also seeing new young voters coming in from other states. Sproul writes, “There are many new voters turning 18 or moving to Arizona from other places like California. This is a warning for all Republican candidates in Arizona. The electorate isn’t what it was 20 years ago.” 1 Link to comment

Yes, but I think any of the top 4 will beat Trump. There is just to much @#!* hitting the wall and sticking - Trump is doing a lot of self destructive things just to play to his far right base. He is ticking off a lot of people who may have been on the fringe. Not sure how you can be on the fringe wt Trump but the fact that 44% still approve of his performance says something. Yes, but let's pray the Dems put someone up that has THE BEST chance of beating him. Let's not forget what happened when they put up a pathetic candidate against him. As for the 44%. There is roughly 35% of Americans that will back him, no matter what, because of that R beside his name. The other roughly 9% has a chance of changing their minds. 1 Link to comment
