247 just bumped him to the No. 115th rated player in the nation. Composite is No. 291 4:star

These are the guys Frost and Co must get.

And we have a long way to go to getting them.  Multiple people close to the families are saying we are behind. Good season may help.

Having a competent staff that emphasizes local talent probably helps a lot.

Hickman, too, is a four-star prospect according to 247Sports, checking in at No. 115 overall in the nation and the third-best tight end. He is being recruited on both sides of the ball by colleges and Burke head coach Paul Limongi said the Huskers like him on defense, too. Hickman has offers from Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ole Miss and several others.

We told him he could play on either side of the ball - likely linebacker or tight end.  He said he doesn't really have a preference.

Liked the style of our coaches and the productivity of practice.

Said Iowa, Purdue, Iowa State and Minnesota are recruiting him the hardest.

Will be back for the Spring Game

I'm not a scientist, but I think it's safe to deduce from this there's at least 4 other schools recruiting him harder than NU.

How do I spin that to a positive?

Maybe Nebraska DOESN’T NEED to recruit him that hard and the other schools are so they can make up ground?

Sorry, that was supposed to be "in addition to Nebraska".

NU equals northwestern and they aren't interested in Hickman. Nebraska is recruiting him the hardest.

We'll beat that group easy. Keep the Texas teams/OU away.

blessed to say? Lame image selection. No exclamation marks. No emotion.

That has to be the most apathetic tweet for a scholarship offer ever.

I think the school selects those images

Nm i may be wrong about that but it is weird to me that every kid puts out 4 pictures with every offer

Four is the limit Twitter let's you add. And when you add 4 it shows up in that square box format.

Mckewon put in a husk CB here.

If we landed Hickman but lost out on his teammate I feel like that's still a pretty successful in state haul this year correct? Land Betts next year as well and I think we would have stabilized our position with our in state recruits in my opinion.

I think 1 out of the 2 from Burke is the bare minimum for it to be considered successful.

Think most husk fans who follow recruiting, and understand the situation, would see going 1/2 on the Burke kids as a win.

Hickman is a tremendous player in his own right and would be a big win for Frost imo
