Sexism - It's a Real Thing

Recommended Posts

“Boy, did he fold up like a wet rag, huh?” the president added. “Man, he was gone so fast. He was gone so fast. I don’t want to mention Al Franken’s name, OK? So I won’t. He was gone so fast.” Imitating Franken the same way he imitated Ford earlier, he said, “It was like, he did something, ‘Oh, oh, oh, I resign, I quit.’ He was gone and he was replaced by somebody nobody ever heard of.”

I just want the degradation to end.

Franken did the right thing. How many people guilty of rape or sexual harrassment will decide to fight because the president is making comments like this? How many fewer victims will report it? It’s like the opposite of the #MeToo movement. Let’s all rape each other and then fight to keep other rapists in power, especially if they’re White and male because “it’s a scary and difficult time.”

Shocker.

The decades long serial sexual monster, drunk on power, attacks those who side with women or have some semblance of a conscience. While also trying convince men how scary this environment is for them.

It's well past time we band together as a nation to shut this nonsense down. I honestly don't think Trump understands how awful all of this looks from the perspective of women. But by God he's going to find out.

How many who are innocent, like Kavanaugh will gain courage to stand up to the ignorant and deranged mob? I hope women who claim abuse are listened to, respected, and heard. But once they make an allegation against a specific person, the elements of due process have to kick in, along with the presumption of innocence.

Quote

Women who tell their stories should have the support, and belief, of loved ones, friends, and a therapeutic community.

But when a woman, in telling her story, makes an allegation against a specific man, a different set of obligations kick in.

Even as we must treat accusers with seriousness and dignity, we must hear out the accused fairly and respectfully, and recognize the potential lifetime consequences that such an allegation can bring. If believing the woman is the beginning and the end of a search for the truth, then we have left the realm of justice for religion.

I don't think some realize how sexist the Left has become toward men and this was shown with Hironos comments telling men to "sit down and shut up."  Can you imagine if a male politician had uttered those same words to women?

This hoax from the left has managed to do the unthinkable....unite all factions on the right including the never and pro-Trump Republicans...and just in time for the mid-terms.

Equality isn’t sexist, nor is it racist. Asking men to for once listen to women about something important is not sexist. Women have been listening to and taking what men have to say since the dawn of time.

It’s not relevant how people would react if it was a man saying it because there are plenty of reasons for the reactions to be different which I’ve explained above. Women have always been forced to listen to men. The Senate is 80/20 right now. That said, no one needs to “imagine” what you’re asking people to imagine. It doesn’t require imagination.

This tape was released in 2016. Republicans then voted for him for president.

Released in 2016 of comments made a decade prior. The American people are tired of the antics from the left and those were on full display with this Kav hearing. They managed to unite the right in the process.

That is a total dodge, and the tone in which she said it was worse. Moreover, generalizing all men in a statement like that is over the top no matter what her beef has been with men in the past.

Example A. of taking the high road to make your argument about what's right while dodging someone's actual claim/criticism.

"Asking men to for once listen to women about something important is not sexist." <- This is the claim/what the senator is being criticized for. It's right there in what you're bolding. So I don't really get your post. How is it dodging when I'm talking about what she said?

This isn't necessarily directed at you but I think people often confuse generalizing with stereotyping and vice versa. I don't disagree with her generalization, or I guess talking to men in general. I think men, in general, aren't great at listening to women, especially when it comes to important topics. I think she was an idiot politically to say what she did, but I don't really disagree with the sentiment.

Interruption is a related but different topic, but there have been loads of studies showing that men interrupt women more than the reverse.
