Nice snarky reply.  I normally enjoy talking football with the fine folks on this board, but apparently there are bullies here who are anti-Catholic or are intolerant of differing viewpoints (dare mention of other viewpoint is slippery slope lol).

My teaching to the "class":  Go back a re-read my comment.  It said:  'from conception TO natural death"  that implies respect for human life at all stages of life.

I'll be sticking to other venues where hatred isn't so prevalent with its members.  Never thought I'd get this level of bashing from Husker fans and I am sure when I sign off you'll continue the anti-catholic bashing and be proud of it.

I learned things from you today that helped my perspective. There's no reason to leave so quickly.

I have no problem with this at a Catholic school.  Not sure why you do.

Because at that stage of development, children deserve to be presented information in order to make an informed decision on what they believe, not told what to believe.

My big issue here is that the church group would consider Donald Trump and MAGA synonymous with their supposedly Christian values, when nothing about the man or his administration is remotely Christ-like.

The adulterous porn-star banging playboy has made boilerplate pro-life statements to get some love from his base, but that's it.

Also, there's not a single Covington student in that video who is capable of getting pregnant.

Just keep in mind that this was a VOLUNTEER mission trip.  This wasn't mandated by the school that the students go.

I honestly did not know it was a volunteer trip; that certainly changes my opinion on the matter.

OK....gotta ask.

How shocked are you that a catholic school is supporting a pro life stance?

0%. But as I said above, I was of the belief that it was a mandated trip, not a volunteer trip.

Except it's "Make America Great Again". That "again" makes a significant difference in the tone of that motto when it comes to racism and civil rights.

As had been said probably numerous times before, we've still never nailed down when exactly the "again" is that the MAGA crowd wants us to return to so we can be made great.

It's a funny question, because the further you go back in time, the better things tend to look comparatively for the white American and the worse they tend to look for everyone else.

Which tells you a lot about their motivations. Not all of them, mind you. Some of them, I assume, are good people.

This Sunday.

To be more specific, we had a guest retired priest this Sunday.  His talk was very good.  He spoke about how we need to really contemplate our own spirituality and how it pertains to how we conduct our lives as compassionate people towards others.  It really hit home with how I feel about my own spirituality.

So... this was presented in the frame of reference of the conflict at our border?  How did he frame that part of the sermon?  What was his call to action?  What was his name?

The further you back in time you also find a much higher tax rate on those wealthy white Americans, too.
