After the announcement, how long does everyone expect Moos to stay?  How much input will Frost get on the next AD?

I believe Moos has said and I quote, "Give me 5 years".

Seeing how his contract runs through 2022, I would say a while

Unless it takes longer to get things turned around than most are thinking, I doubt he's here the entire five years of his contract.

Why?

Most likely because if he brings Nebraska back, programs will be throwing him truckloads of cash to be their AD

He's already one of the highest paid AD's in the country, and I think he's stated that this is his last stop before retiring.

We have plenty of cash. If he does a good job here why would he leave? We are a blueblood football program in arguably the top conference and we are successful in other sports, though Moos seems like a football guy. How many jobs out there would realistically be better than this one if Frost turns the football program into a conference title contender? He will be forever loved around here, basically 0 fan pressure.

He's 66 years old.  Most of his life has been spent in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Montana.  He has a son who will be playing football for Cal.  I just don't see him staying here through 2022.  He was hired to do one thing and one thing only.  It's all but done.

This is more realistic to me. I could see him retiring early but if he does I don't think he is planning on it now. He wants to be here for a little while I believe.

Moos will have a men's basketball coach to possible replace...Miles needs to get us to NCAA... in keeping with the spirit of this mega thread- Scott Frost will be the next HC of

Nebraska

Rumblings are that Fulmer was behind sabotaging some of Currie's choices for the next TN head coach, and unless Fulmer signs Fuente or somebody significant, he is going to have to justify his actions for some time.  There is actually a good number on VolNation that do not trust Fulmer or are skeptical.
