Nebraska’s electorate...

When in doubt, vote R.  Even though the “r” is nothing more than a box checked by a person with a #2 pencil...

This was meant for somewhere else.  Sorry if it caused a “what the hell is he talking about” moment...

Man, this forum never disappoints!  Keep spinning that yarn

Edit: this is just a crap post.  I'm a registered non partisan and have only voted R in one election.  I'm catching hell for not liking AOC and it lumps me in as a Right wing nut.  Such hypocrisy

There's a reason for that.

In the absence of Hillary Clinton, the best fundraising tool Republicans ever had, hired media consultants crafted a messaging platform for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to replace her as the "go-to" liberal demon.

There are many key difference between AOC and Hillary Clinton. As has already been pointed out to you, AOC actually checks off a lot of the boxes you supposedly want in your elected official -- she challenged and defeated a Clinton-like Dem because the party and government was no longer representing real working people.

The media consultants figured if they posed her as a shrill, socialist dimwit, you'd pass it along without really thinking. They also see AOC as a legitimate threat.

They know what they're doing, unfortunately.

Bret Bielma checked a lot of boxes for a head coach, still ecstatic Eichorst didn't get to hire him.

When you call someone "stupid" but provide no good evidence as to why you think that, its lazy and you should get called out.  I would get called out also.

So again, sorry gang.  Didn't realize she was so well respected in here honestly.  I don't have to like her though.  I don't agree with her on most of her talking points.  I fthink she comes across as a wannabe bully, expecting people to fall in line since she is a she and the flavor of the month of politics and a feel good story and blah blah blah.  Don't have to like her.  Don't care what "boxes" she checks.  The amount of offense in here is thick though sorry I pressed so many buttons.

I don’t think there is a strong support here for AOC or that you pressed any buttons. People just wanted to know why you think she’s stupid because she doesn’t seem stupid to them.

Get over yourself. You didn't miss anyone off. You just started ripping on someone who fits the description of what you wanted, without telling us why you didn't like her. We're all mature enough to understand if someone simply doesn't like a person, but if you're not going to tell us why were going to press you to find out.

Do you like Ro Khana? Pramila Jayapal? These are also uncorrupted politicians that check all your boxes.

Nah, get over yourself man.  This is dumb.  I can not like a politician without having to go into detail why, I don't see that requirement for anyone else in here.

It's weird when people post in this forum with the goal of being offended. Seems like an odd way to pass the time.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Me?  Couldn't be further from the truth this time around bub.  Not offended, not getting offended.  Sorry if I made some points or opinions that aren't universally shared.

Honestly not getting this at all.  I'll echo again what I said before, I don't like most politicians period.  They are puppets, they are corrupt and most of what they say is a fallacy.  It's not about checking boxes for me.  Checking boxes to decide who you do and don't like sounds eerily similar to checking boxes to decide whether or not you want to be red or blue, not interested.

It's pretty much standard practice around here that if someone states an opinion, but they are unable or unwilling to support their own assertion, that they have the poo thrown at them.

You do this every freaking time. . 99% of us were having a good conversation with you. Usually when you're in a conversation with someone they ask you to explain more and give details you left out because they are curious. You could just say you don't like her personally (which you kind of did in the end) and that's fine. But when you tip toe around something people are going to keep poking until you give them a straight answer. Stop acting like you're being persecuted, you're not. Most of us, myself included, are just curious about your position.

I could have called you a nut job conspiracy theorist, but I didn't. Because of that I can see we are closer in opinion than we may have thought before, we just differ in the details. If we were having a beer and talking it would be the same kind of conversation.
