HuskerMav11
1962 team was a good team. 1961 was the bad one. @op 1 Quote Link to comment
I.M. OLD
You better look but I think the 61 team was better than the 60 team and we might be as bad as the 60 team Quote Link to comment
beorach
Huskermax is one people know, I expect, but this is a good site for old scores as well: http://www.jhowell.net/cf/scores/Nebraska.htm Quote Link to comment
dvdcrr
Literally, though with "head out of the tackle" modern football, the 1962 team would have a fair shot against these guy. Football has regressed except for the top 5-8 teams who are serious about the hunt, and who still play hard and fast enough that the head hits look normal. A reason Nebraska gets called for targeting is because the rest of the play is tame enough that the big hit stands out . Same reason why in high school the second kid on the downed ball carrier gets called for late hit, but not in college. The faster play makes it look normal. At least I can tell when I watch an intense Bama, Clemson, Tosu game, thehitting is turned up a notch and the refs let them play. Quote Link to comment
secretasianman
2017 for sure — special teams, defense and offense are all poor. No stand out players. (Aside from Spielman as of late) The other teams listed had some strengths. The 2017 team doesn’t. There isn’t one facet of this team that makes opponents pause and say “whoa .. we need to be prepared for this..” Quote Link to comment
