I agree that violence on either side is not excusable.

So....here's my solution.  As a population, let's not support the violence being supported by our country's leadership.  Let's at least start on that side while condemning both.  That is the part we have the most control over.

At the same time, violence over our current administration who has not committed violent acts (yes I know what Trump said) is not right either. He is president, act like he is while politely disagreeing (or agreeing) with what he does over his term and vote for whoever in 2020. I am personally hoping Trump has opposition in the primaries in 2020. I will vote for the opposition gladly assuming they're not worse than Trump (not hard to do).

This false equivalency is stunning. Almost as dumbfounding as voting on a President based on political correctness alone.

AHHHHHHHHH I'M OFFENDED BY THAT I NEED MY SAFE SPACE. I can't stand opposing views!

You would think a person that voted for a President to make businesses say "Merry Christmas" would make sure to capitalize "God" in his/her post......:dunno

I am ever so sorry for this travesty your highness! I will try to not disappoint you so next time!

Ok....you have hit on something interesting.

I'm supposed to be polite to him and respect him.......but.......you are tired of political correctness.

Meanwhile, he has absolutely NO respect for anyone who disagrees with him, doesn't vote for him or says anything negative about him.  He spews vile crap almost daily towards people like this.

But.....I'm supposed to be polite and respectful to him.

Please explain.

Encouraging political correctness is stupid, and I maintain my case on that. However, you do make a good point with the rest of your post, and I am willing to explain that.

Trump needs to delete his Twitter. Seriously, he has shown incompetency solely through his Twitter and it's time to stop. Members of his party have encouraged it, nobody likes Trump's Twitter except the people who have their heads up his ass. He also needs to grow thicker skin.

I will ask you this, however. If you were president, and everyone including the media was completely crapping on you 24/7, how would you feel? I'm not defending what Trump has said at all, but how would you feel on the inside?

He is currently the most powerful person in America. The 1st amendment exists for a reason, you can say as much bad stuff about him as you want. But at the end of the day, he is just as much the president as the first 44, I'm not sure what rioters are trying to achieve against him, he is president until 2020.

Otherwise, it just makes your "outrage" seem fake.

I bet you're a fun person to hang out with.

Let's be clear about something.  He all of a sudden didn't become a vile petulant child after being elected and the big mean media started attacking him.  This is who he is.  Remember him standing on stage and calling people childish names?  Go back even farther and find tweets from before he even started running.  For some reason, this got all his followers even more excited.

The guy is an immature ass.  This isn't something the media created all of a sudden.

AND....the guy sits on his twitter every morning attacking people.  Do you really expect the big mean media to ignore that?

He is the most powerful person in America.  It's time he starts acting like it and controlling the discourse in this country in positive ways instead of dragging it deeper and deeper into the gutter.

I'm not talking as much about news sources as I am the overall encouragement for hatred. Look at all of the late night shows, for example, doing nothing but anti-Trump stuff throughout the entire timeslot.

GBR....I hope you don't take offense to my questioning because, I am truly finding this conversation interesting.

Again....you support and am glad Trump is President because you are tired of political correctness.....but, you are frustrated because people don't respect him more.

Do you see anything odd about that?

It's similar to Trump making so much stink about a few football players not standing for the national anthem because it disrespects the military.  At the same time, he admits himself that he doesn't respect POWs because they "got caught".

And...his supporters cheer on both stances.

If given the choice between Trump or socialist, I'm going Trump. I voted for Trump last election. Why? Because I'm tired of the political correctness. I'm tired of the baby culture we are getting, where anyone can be offended by anything and be apologized to. That is why most major corporation refuse to say "Christmas" now, because god forbid we offend the 10% of the country that doesn't celebrate Christmas. What people do not realize is that we do not need to completely get rid of American culture for people who are not American that are here.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find a commercial to be offended at because it shows a white family instead of a racially diverse family.

Let me ask you this: what issues matter the most to you?

I think you've got a point about political correctness. There is a lot of resentment out there, particularly in places that voted heavily for Trump, about some elite group of people trying to tell others what is and isn't culturally acceptable behavior. That maybe isn't a really great way to come together as a society.

However, as much as you like Trump for his anti-PC attitude, is he really getting the job done in the other issues you care about?

I'd also ask you this: You ask how Trump feels about being attacked by media all the time. Most of those attacks are simply a response to his own behavior.

How do you think private citizens POTUS puts on blast on Twitter for their behavior or smears for saying something he doesn't like feel?
