Popular Post SECHusker
For me, there is no denying the man did his best to get the program back to where it needs to be. Unfortunately, he fell short. I want to wish him nothing but the best and thank him for all the contributions he made to the program. He's a class act and will always be a Husker in my eyes. Best of luck. 17 Quote Link to comment
Atbone95
At least with Bo, it was easy to say "get lost". Genuinely feel for the dude. Great guy who taught a lot of players about life and character, just couldn't get it done the field. Wish him the best. 2 Quote Link to comment
Hingle McCringleberry
I really don't harbor ill will towards any of them. None of them came here to fail and MR is the nicest of the last three, Bill was a pretty nice guy off the field and supported the arts etc. Bo was deffo rougher around the collar but seemed ot be a dedicated husband and father. 1 Quote Link to comment
SouthofSarpy
Thank you MR for your efforts as they did not go unnoticed. I wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors. 1 Quote Link to comment
WyoHusker56
Great guy and a good steward of the University. Wish it had worked out for him, but it was a tough fit from the start. Wish him the best in the future! 1 Quote Link to comment
get huskin!
Yep, thank you for your contributions Mr. Riley and family. I think you ran a clean game on and off the field and I wish you luck. 1 Quote Link to comment
Nebfanatic
Sad it didn't work out for MR, but honestly he may have done the program the biggest favor of all by having such a rough season. The timing couldn't be any better for our program. We may look back one day at MR as a legendary figure in Husker history. The guy before THE guy. Is it possible going 4-8 this season has a better outcome in the long term than if we had gone 8-4? 1 Quote Link to comment

I am grateful he ran a clean program and represented the program with class and professionalism. Just wish he and the staff could have figured out how to win more games and put a more competitive team on the field. Good luck MR. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ratt Mhule
Thank you for your time and energy. You are someone that it is easy to cheer for and want to see succeed. Unfortunately, it didnt happen here on the football field. While you may not be the best football coach, you are something so much more important, a good person. Good luck! 2 Quote Link to comment
Hammerhead
I had high hopes for Mike, and it was clear that at least he was willing to make an effort to bring in good assistants. I wish it would've worked out, but it's clear that we weren't going in the right direction. I wish him the best wherever he goes from here, and appreciate the class that he showed throughout his time here. Quote Link to comment
It'sNotAFakeID
I'm disappointed that things didn't go better for Riley at Nebraska, because I think, persona-wise, he best represented the University and the state. Whatever venture he chooses to pursue next, I wish him nothing but the best. Quote Link to comment

CheeseHusker
I actually feel bad for the guy today. I really do. And I never wanted him here in the first place. Unfortunately, this is a results-driven business. 2 Quote Link to comment

Best of luck. I don't think he did his best. SE said the checkbook was open to get the assistant coaches available, but MR brought his staff from osu. The Huskers always looked unprepared, I question how much work MR put in. Quote Link to comment
