It depends on if you like the coach or not or if they're supposed to be a good recruiter or not. If Noah Fant picks Iowa or Bryson Williams picks Wisconsin, it's because they never really wanted to come here or we just happened to be full at their position. If Harrison Phillips picks Stanford or Nathan Bazata picks Iowa, it's because we screwed up recruiting them. Quote Link to comment
TonyStalloni
I seem to remember early on the HP really wanted an offer from the Huskers and would have committed early in the process but no offer came till it was too late and he had soured on Bo. Harrison P wasn't offered till a player recruited the previous year named Ernest? Suttles was dismissed from the team. Thanks a lot Bo! The gift that keeps on giving. teachercd
I coach in the area and I don't know Millard West guys but through other coaches I know I had heard that Harrison was planning on Ivy League before he started getting looks from Stanford. Who knows though, maybe he hated NU or maybe the staff sucked at recruiting him. 1 Quote Link to comment
YellowShirt
If I remember right, it was between Phillips and Stoltenberg. Coaches liked Stoltenbergs versatility and motor more? Something like that or they just said that because they couldn’t flip Phillips Quote Link to comment
Melby
Pelini and his staff are F'in idiots and thought because he was a NU homer that they could get him to walk on. Quote Link to comment
HuskerPowerVA
Hey we love Nebraska. I bet he did growing up too. But a full ride at Stanford is something special outside the gridiron that will help you whatever you do after you play sports. That is just a fact. Quote Link to comment

Sorry man, I should have read your post first. This confirmed what I suspected. Quote Link to comment
mwj98
My whole point basically was, we need to do a better job of keeping the good ones in state. Between this guy and Fant. I wonder if some opportunities were missed. Stanford is a great school. I was shocked when they did a little piece on the guy during the game. I was like "Millard West??". All good. GBR!
