BIG ERN
The longer this drags out the less I like our chances. Was hoping we made a good enough impression for him to sign this week 1 Quote Link to comment
ADS
These kind of situations never work out in our favor. So yeah not expecting to get him. Quote Link to comment

Cant say that I blame the kid based on where the 2 programs are right now. We can sell vision and hopes, they can sell results and hardware. Quote Link to comment

I completely agree with you - but how bizarre is that to say and for it to be true... Quote Link to comment

C N Red
Seriously, you come to Nebraska and like what you see and how they will use you, and then Wiscy comes in and offers out of the blue so late? If I was Frost and Company I would put the full court press on him and his Juco coach for the next couple days, and if he hasn't signed with us by the start of the New year, I would tell him to kick rocks and hope Wiscy has room for him come so late in January. bugeater17
I'd stick with the full court press to have him commit in the next couple of day - even if he chooses to decide later we still need to pursue this kid to enroll in January. If it gets past the 6th we likely become a non-factor as the logistics to make it work (as explained above) become very difficult. Quote Link to comment
swmohusker
Sucks that we will be the team that warm this kid up to the idea of playing in a 34 and then Wiscy comes in and nabs the kid. Quote Link to comment

caveman99
Either way, we aren’t out of it. Will be a priority for the staff after this period ends. I am also sure that SF and Co get him on the phone today to make sure he knows he is wanted. Quote Link to comment

(Muskegon) Besides Gifford, who on this list are you really comfortable with. He's the only one I'm comfortable with. Stille is a maybe. But Honas will give us an actual experienced good LB, because we don't have one on this list. He will be a good stepping stone until our young guys can learn and get experience.
