Gates is sitting behind Carter (A&M commit) and Battle (tOSU commit).  Alabama thinks they can flip both and are pushing for Akeem Dent also.

Very good chance that Gates will be the odd man out.

It seems like with Pola-Gates, he is Bama bound if they have room. Robinson is more of a legitimate battle which we seem to be favored at currently.

My comment was really 2 fold.

1. If your able to be neck and neck with Bama that is impressive from the recruiting side.

2. If we are going after kids Bama thinks are worthy that is also a very good sign. They obviously can spot talent.

Steve Wiltfong stated he has been thinking about switching his crystal ball pick to Nebraska.

Just got to wait until an hour before the scheduled commitment to find out for sure from The Fong, amirite?!

Sometimes it feels like an early christmas present, but if it's not for Nebraska it feels like someone pissed in my cheerios.

Well don't like that. Do they even have a secondary coach at the moment?

Any word on how we sit?

As of now we are second, and the family is pushing him to Nebraska.

Got word back as of this morning, and he's leaning Alabama.

It will all depend on if Alabama has room for him. If they don't, he will more than likely be ours.

Just gotta hope Bama can flip those two CB prospects they are looking at.

This is good because good chance Bama won't have room.

Asu has been worrying me, but USC takes that worry to another level.

The family is pushing him to Nebraska hard. They prefer Nebraska way more, and don't like how Alabama is dragging him along.

Funny you asked, my dad just text me that he was just told at work that he was visiting USC ( I know thats not news to us). I don't know, I'll ask him right now and see if he can get more info on that.

They have 22 commits at the moment looks like they have around 6-7 spots left for a class of 29.

From what I can gather on Alabama message boards, the feeling is that even without flipping commits, there may not be enough room for Noa in the class.

And i have a feeling that Alabama will flip at least two.

And, as I've always said, if the family has a strong opinion, they should make it well known and the kid should always listen to them instead of doing what's in his heart.

Especially when it benefits the HUSKERS!

Here is how to handle these situations:

If the kid wants to go to NU, but the family wants him to go someone else -> kid needs to listen to his heart

If the family wants the kid to go to NU, but the kid wants to go somewhere else - > kid needs to listen to his family

Up 28 spots to #114 Overall per Rivals

Interesting that 247 now lists him in the cornerback rankings.

Unless he’s playing the misdirection Card, this doesn’t sound good for Nebraska. I think he stays home & chooses ASU. https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/high-school/recruiting/2018/12/04/noa-pola-gates-recruiting-alabama-asu-usc-penn-state-among-visits/2204987002/

You realize there is location bias due to this being written by AZCENTRAL.COM?

Sounds like Frost is heading here tonight.

He's had Clay Helton, Saban and Herm Edwards in-home this week and James Franklin will visit Monday.

He is getting a lot of pressure to stay home and play at Arizona State. We are still in the mix along with Alabama.

He is planning to announce at the Polynesian Bowl in January however Alabama will not wait that long for his commitment and are pressuring him to announce sooner. Alabama also has 2-3 other players at the same position they are after and only have one spot left.

Think this one comes down to us and ASU.
