I'm a bit concerned since (best case scenario) we're getting Biden as president... we may have to wait 12-16 years to actually get something like that. Because I kind of doubt we're gonna have a bunch of people extremely hyped for progressives after a status quo Democrat. Seems like this would have been the best time for it to happen for a long time. 

 

I am hoping that a Biden presidency will be very much about stopping the bleeding from the Trump presidency and smoothing things over, while the rest of the Democratic establishment (with control of both houses, hopefully) plants the seeds for a progressive agenda and positions the next generation of Democratic candidates to step up when Biden is done. 

 

But of course that would require strategic thinking on the Dems part, which I know is a bit much to ask for.

The thing that stood out to me tonight besides the obvious “stand back and standy by” comment Trump made to white supremacist groups is that Biden and democrats are so scared of the word socialism that he moved his healthcare plan so far right that they will literally change nothing. He said everyone will keep their private insurance (great I love being f#&%ed by united healthcare!) and the only people tjhat can enroll in public option are people on medicaid? Wtf! Why would people on medicaid need to be enrolled in medicare? They are already on medicaid...I thought public option were for people unhappy with their private insurance plan. 
 

And then he took the opportunity to trash Bernie and his supporters. Also with the green new deal towards the end of the debate. Awesome strategy! All you gotta say is Bernie is a good man with good ideas and we want his supporters on our side but we had difference when it came to healthcare and other things and my plan is different because...Now you trash 1/3 of your base and you have no healthcare plan bc...socialism is a scary word. Man I f#&%ing hate democrats! With that being said, Trump has to go. Biden is lucky hes up against this clown.

For all my friends who claim to be fiscal conservatives.  Let's just make sure everyone hears her very last comment.  AFTER THE PRIC GOUGING, the TAXPAYER spent 3.3 BILLION on this drug.

 

But...hey....let's protect pharmaceutical companies and providers that do this by not even considering a single payer plan.  

 

PSSST....those European countries she earlier talked about are all various forms of single payer plans.
