grandpasknee
Question for all current / former high end players. I was only relatively good at track...sprints specifically. I knew exactly which runners from other schools in our conference were my competition, and while I hated/respected/disrespected/feared them, I also got absolutely jacked up when I'd get the chance to run head-to-head against them. But I was never good enough in a sport to fear "the new guy" taking my place (which was generally the bench). How do guys like Wilbon or the other existing players feel, truly feel, about hyped up recruits joining the team? Probably different for each guy, but I have zero insight into this. It just depends on the guy. Some players are open to new recruits, while others want to make their life hell. Some guys respond extremely well when an elite recruit comes in. They work hard and keep their spot. Some get offended and feel forgotten. It’s a wide variance. Quote Link to comment
