That joke is what - a decade old now? Let it rest in peace.

I haven't been on HB for 10 years so it's a little newer than that.

Still funny once in a while

It was during my senior year of college, so 2012-2013

Measured in at the Army All-American Bowl as 6'8.75, 287.6 lbs, 32 3/8 arm length, and 9 inch hand.

Can see why he got leaned on a bit in the one on ones. Think he played in season a shade over 300? Hard to take on the best of the best with out being your optimal weight.

He’ll gain it back rather fast. Multi sport athletes (especially wrestling) have an immense advantage when it comes to footwork and leverage.

This. So much this.

People always say this, and they say basketball can be good for footwork. Fact is, just b/c hes a wrestler or basketball player, even if they are good at them, doesnt mean he will be a good olineman. If that was the case, there would be a lot of good olineman walking around everywhere. We've gotten a few linemen over the last few years that were good wrestlers or bball players and we havent had an even slightly good lineman for awhile.

Coaching and overall talent need to be taken into account here. But overall wrestling and being a multi sport athlete will improve your own athleticism and explosiveness rather than just focusing on football in the summer/fall and lifting weights in the offseason. But you are correct. This alone does not make you a good player but it is certainly a benefit.
