Scarlet Posted September 10, 2022 Share Posted September 10, 2022 I keep thinking back to all those great takes about how Putin would never invaded Ukraine if Trump was in office because Biden is weak and "what is he going to do? Smother them with a pillow?". Yeah those takes are in this thread somewhere back in February/March. Or the idea that NATO is worthless and we should pull out and make besties with Putin. Really? Talk about policy disasters. Maybe Putin shouldn't have underestimated Biden's willingness to support Ukraine and or his ability to help bring our NATO allies together. This is showing the value of NATO and it's capabilities and Russia's absolute mirage of a military superpower. Hopefully we'll never elect another president who wants to vacate the international scene and support of democracies and who's "best" ability was to burn bridges with our allies and chummy up with world dictators.
