Redux
Billy Corgans voice ruins what would otherwise be a good sounding band Quote Link to comment

I would have went last night had I known about it...I swear they didn't promote it until like 4 days ago. Yeah dude. I'm all for cool outros, but it seemed like every song they were just dragging it out with 3 minutes of reverb. "Okay.......we get it." I don't recall hearing any promos for it or anything. They had the upper deck blacked out with curtains, which I'm sure bruised Billy's ego a tad. Quote Link to comment

I've seen several of those names that you listed, and none of them were on Corgan's level. No doubt Corgan is one of the worst of the lot. I get what you are saying about pushing the band to different levels but I guess I like the guys that can lighten up a little and don't take them selves super seriously all the time. Dave Grohl is the best example of this type of a guy that I can think of, Rivers Cuomo of Weezer fits into that also. I get that Weezer and The Foos are doing different styles of music, but you know what I mean. Les Claypool is another good example. Quote Link to comment

Great front man and person in general. I will admit though that I do kinda like some of the rock and roll front man antics. Liam Gallagher cracks me up. Quote Link to comment
Cdog923
Dave Grohl is probably my favorite front man right now. I know more bands do this sort of thing, but he's the best at the "pull someone out of the audience to play with the band" bit. 2 Quote Link to comment

The Dude
Year One was a really funny movie. I never watched it before because it looked bad and the reviews are abysmal. I watched it the other night and laughed my a$$ off. Sometimes a really dumb comedy that only tries to be a really dumb comedy just hits the spot. Quote Link to comment

Moiraine
I don't understand the calls for Mazour to play more. I understand liking feel good stories about walk ons, but people started calling for him to be higher on the depth chart than he is when he had his first big run 2 spring games ago. It's weird. I wouldn't be surprised if he played a lot more this year, but I don't question the coaches because they don't play players more after a spring game performance. Quote Link to comment

It may be more a case of wishful thinking than true desire to see him tote the rock more. Either way I don't think it's an unpopular opinion to prefer seeing whoever is best on the field. Kinda dumb to be calling for the 3rd or 4th string guy for some feel good reason unless that person really thinks he's the better option. I mean the spring game is just one more practice/scrimmage. The coaches see much more than that daily. Quote Link to comment

I would not call for Mazour to play more, but IMO if he is needed to play more due to injury or stupidity (MW), he would be able to get the job done. He is a football player and will play his guts out for the team. I go back to the Michigan game this year and the series where he got about 5-6 touches and scored a TD. No it wasn't against their top defense, but even Michigan's backups are pretty darn good. Quote Link to comment

Part of it is facetious too; the desire for the great local walk-on to do good and lead the team to victory is strong in these parts. Quote Link to comment
