ZRod
I've always had trouble getting tweets to embed after the board switched over. I've tried removing the "s" in https like we used to do for YouTube with no luck. What am I doing wrong here? https://mobile.twitter.com/Huskers/status/928096388747022336 Edited March 21, 2018 by ZRod Quote Link to comment

I just use the Twitter app. Hit the little down arrow and hit "copy link to tweet" then just paste it Like that 1 Quote Link to comment

My link to that tweet looked almost identical to yours before it embedded. Weird. Guess you're gonna have to get the app!! 1 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
I copied and pasted the same link and it works. Two things: - It has to be pasted as plain text. I'm not sure what options you have for this on mobile but on desktop if you post something in rich text there it pops up an option at the bottom of the reply window to change it to plain text. You might look to see if there is something like that on your device. - It takes a second for it to resolve. If you past a link and immediately hit reply it doesn't embed. You have to give it a couple seconds. 1 Quote Link to comment
ZRod
So, I assume I'm always pasting plain text. I have no issue with getting YouTube links to auto embed, and a Reddit link I posted yesterday worked fine as well. It only appears to be a Twitter issue for me. I always wait a second and hit the return key after I paste the link so that it will embed before I submit my post, but it never works with Twitter links. Mav, it wouldn't have anything to do with you setting my account up for desktop only when the board was reformatted would it? Quote Link to comment

But I would think you'd get the "Plain text..." message at the bottom. 1 Quote Link to comment
ZRod
Well ok then, I'm just a nimrod! I'll remember to hit the plain text button from now on. Thanks for the help fellas! Edited March 21, 2018 by ZRod 1 Quote Link to comment
