Cool your jets there fella. Frost hasn't had two 1,000 yard rushers in the last 5 years he has been HC/OC. Not sure why that would change. 4 Quote Link to comment

That's not a lot of time to get caught up and used to the routine. RB is the easiest position to transition into as a true frosh (aside from specialists), and the NCAA has relaxed the summer coaching rules to allow a lot more contact. Ideally, everyone graduates early and is in for the spring, or at the very latest May following graduation, but July is not as late in the process as it was just a few years ago. If he can come in at least knowing the terminology, he can still be ready for September. Quote Link to comment
Treand3
Agree RB is the easiest positions to make an earlier impact. Frost's system is far easier for a RB to pick up than Langsdorf's. While its not ideal for Washington to show up as late as he will, there will be opportunities to make his mark. 1 Quote Link to comment

It isn’t the scheme that will hold Washington back, it is whether or not he will be in shape enough for SF. As we have seen so far, there is “in shape” and there is “SF in shape.” Coming in late and missing most of the summer conditioning I just don’t see Washington being able to keep up in Fall camp while also trying to learn the offense. Very true on conditioning, and it's another reason him coming so late isn't ideal. He will get worked into the rotation though. Yes he'll be behind but it will be a work in progress. Yes, if your rb is having to come-out after a couple plays and thus allows the defense to sub as well it compromises the effectiveness of a HUNH offense. Quote Link to comment
Huskers93-97
Not sure when exactly the freshman RB from UCF showed up last year, but he seemed to excel as a freshman. Otis Anderson I think was his name. 1 Quote Link to comment
Chadhusker
Anderson was a stud last year. Quote Link to comment

Washington won’t have any of that before hitting Fall camp. Quote Link to comment
