Didn’t we recruit this kid out of high school? Name seems familiar...

Yes, we kicked the tires. Academic problems were obvious though.

Would be a great fit on our D coming off the edge. Would give Tannor and Thomas another year to develop - Graves could come in and work opposite side of Breon Dixon.

You saying to play Graves at OLB? Size seems to be a DE.

Would be interesting having Dixon, a hybrid LB/S playing opposite a DE/LB.

I think Chinander would just send 4 on every play with him on D. Essentially giving a 4-3 look out of the 3-4.

Yeah I see him as an OLB in our 3-4 rushing off the edge. Not enough weight to play DE in a 3-4

I love that. Line 5 or 6 guys up close to the line, some drop, some fake, some come. Some guys with hands in the dirt, guys standing up, etc.  Really hard for line to know what is coming and to communicate.

Wisconsin does it with Van Ginkel and it works like a charm.

Yeah, I didn’t get that from that interview. I got that he basically isn’t telling anyone anything.

Man, this kid could be what we are missing in this defense.

This young man definitely plays it close to the vest. He obviously hasnt visited us and we are the closest campus by a long ways though.....so I would guess it doesnt look well for us.

Makes you wonder if there isn't something there Frost doesn't like?  Or maybe he isn't interested in us, and from what we've seen so far this year I'd rather not have him then.  You have to buy in, that is very obvious at this point.

If he can write his name Bama will sign him

Why would he need to write his own name? They have tutors for that.

Word is he's probably not going to graduate.

What options are there for guys like this to get back into a program?

Juco....  once you fail that option I don’t think there’s much of a chance.   I think they are given pretty much every option to pass there... it’s pretty hard to fail

Last Chance U is a good example of that.

From watching that it seems pretty dang difficult to not graduate from JUCO.

I wonder if he could either A: sit out a year and try for the NFL draft or B: AAF?

I know a kid who went to a JUCO for track.  If you fail at JUCO.....you have issues.  The kid I know didn't.  But, he finally quit because he could tell he was totally wasting his time as far as education....as in.....there really wasn't any.
