"Jake Garcia’s preferred college destination was discussed on the 247Sports recruiting podcast earlier this week. Greg Biggins, a national recruiting analyst for 247 stated that he believes that the Miami football program leads to sign Garcia and he is the Hurricanes top priority in the Class of 2021."

Maybe we aren't recruiting him very hard. Seems he doesn't have alot of spread option offenses in his top group.

He's quoted above as saying he's more of a passer, but will run if needed to win. So I'm guessing the fit isn't quite there.

Weird situation going on.

California obviously postponed the HS season to spring. However, he wanted to play in the fall. His family found a clause/loophole in Georgia that if his parents legally separated he could move to Georgia with one parent and be immediately eligible.

So.... his parents legally seperated, his Dad (retired) and him moved to Georgia where he was deemed immediately eligible.

But then his parents publicly stated they plan to legally re-marry once the season is over, which led to Georgia reversing their decision and deeming him immediately ineligible.

He plans to enroll early at USC.

All of this...And I mean all of it...

Is a f#&%ing movie that I would end up clicking on the screencap...going "Hmmm" and then pressing play.  I would watch this as a movie.

So pretty much Tiger Woods at the Masters a few years ago where he hit a beautiful approach into #15 but got extremely unlucky that it hit the flagstick on the fly and spun back into the water.  So he took a drop back where he hit the previous shot and tried to hit the exact same shot.  Problem was, in his interview after the match he talked about taking a drop a yard or two back from where his first shot was so if he hit the exact same shot it would land just short of the hole instead of hitting the flagstick.  But you're not supposed to drop a couple yards back.  You're supposed to drop as close as possible to where you originally hit from.  So then people made a fuss.

If you're trying to get away with something, it's best not to talk about the part that you're trying to get away with.

I read this & thought, #1 just shut up & avoid the need to tell everybody you are gaming the system.  #2, why Georgia, if you're willing to move, transfer to a Florida school no questions asked.  Then I see he was going to attend Valdosta, the winningest HS program in America.  Kid ain't dumb, he wanted to play, but only if he could cherry pick a primo situation, & of course appear on a reality TV show.
