Foppa
The most powerful, technologically advanced country can't find a way to put the bean in the basket. Population of Ghana 22,409,572 July 2006 est. Population of United States 298,444,215 July 2006 est. Population of Ghana that plays soccer: 22,409,572. Population of USA that plays soccer: 125 at best. Silent Commit
Geez...the USA didn't even show-up. How embarrassing! 'til 2010, then. The sad thing about the USA performance is that, arguably, they had a better team, in terms of talent, than 2002. The chemistry just seemed off. Kudos to Ghana, though. Quote Link to comment

Our so-called (and self-proclaimed) technological superiority has resulted in a swift decline in our domination of skillful sports, which ironically require a high degree of technical skills. i.e. baseball, soccer, & basketball when played correctly As Foppa alluded to we are far too fascinated with our XBOX720z than we are with practicing skillful team sports. But the hell with them b/c we already have SLAMFEST2009!!1! It's pretty pathetic that as the most affluent country in the world, there really isnt one "world sport" that we unequivocably dominate anymore. Unless you count war. Quote Link to comment

kc_husker
What makes me sick is that in the last 10 to 15 years we were making big strides in soccer world wide. These 3 games looked like 20 to 30 years ago. Quote Link to comment

HSKRNOKC
Ya I guess we wait with anticipation until football arrives now. If we keep chatting about it until it gets here , at least the time will go by a little faster. Quote Link to comment
