I was a bit surprised not to see more Nebraskans. Will be interesting to see if any join in Feb. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
If by some miracle it does take off, it would be cool if Omaha tried to get a team. I'll give it a shot. I don't care about most sports, and I like football more than most things. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Heck it will be February. Really smart move by them in terms of when their season starts. I always crave football when the seasons over. I will watch. Quote Link to comment
Toe
TBH I'm surprised to see Armstrong listed as a QB and not some other position. Other QBs on their roster: Grayson, Garrett (Colorado State, 2015 3rd-round draft pic, played on practice squads for Saints and Falcons) Linehan, Matt (Idaho, son of Cowboys OC Scott Linehan) McQueary, Quinn (Montana Tech) Pujals, Peter (Holy Cross, 2018 Vikings free agent signee, cut in August) So where do you see Armstrong on that list? I would think at least behind the two guys who got a shot at being NFL QBs. What kind of offense does Erickson run? 1 Quote Link to comment
GSG
New Spring Football League Holds QB Draft, Remembers Some Guys Quote The Alliance of American Football begins play in February, so things are starting to get moving. The uniforms are out, and last night the league held a four-round quarterback draft with rules so complicated I won’t try to explain them and you probably won’t try to understand them. But what matters is the results. And the results were: Guys. Some notable guys: Josh Johnson | San Diego Fleet, first round (first overall) Aaron Murray | Atlanta Legends, first round Garrett Gilbert | Orlando Apollos, first round Blake Sims | Birmingham Iron, second round Matt Simms | Atlanta Legends, second round B.J. Daniels | Salt Lake Stallions, second round Christian Hackenberg | Memphis Express, second round Scott Tolzien | Birmingham Iron, third round Zach Mettenberger | Memphis Express, fourth round Oooh, QB controversy in Memphis! 1 Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Officially Kenny Bell, Josh Banderas, Tyler Hoppes, Terrell Newby and De'Mornay Pierson-El are all on the Stallions roster... 1 Quote Link to comment
Ulty
Looks like Tommy Armstrong is not going to be playing for the AAF, he just signed with the Nebraska Danger in the Indoor Football League. https://www.theindependent.com/sports/danger/former-husker-tommy-armstrong-jr-signs-with-danger/article_a92bcc0e-0ef2-11e9-923a-1338ae7e2609.html Quote Link to comment
