The Arizona/Salt Lake game  was really good and probably would have been even better if Salt Lake's starting QB didn't get hurt. Arizona looks like a real good team. Wolford looked really good at QB.

The defensive restrictions are funny though. Since overall the defense has done better than the offense for the most part. At least this first weekend.

That’s exactly why these restrictions were put in place. You see similar restrictions in All Star games or other such events where there isn’t a lot of prep time. The offenses I saw this first weekend were all very simple, with very little in play variety.

Yeah their defense and RB is winning it for them. Impressive shutting out the Hot Shots so far. Given how well they played last week.

Perhaps Hackenberg should try another position. He is a big dude and looked good when he ran for that first down.... Aside from almost losing the ball...But that was a good hit from the defense.

One interesting thing about this league thus far is that it feels like old school football. A lot more defense and running.

I think offense, especially passing offense, is a lot harder to throw together than defense.  Good NFL passing offenses have continuity and elite QB play.  The AAF has neither elite QBs or continuity.

Passing is simply more efficient, by a lot. As mentioned, though, it’s harder to coordinate (hence the defensive rules). So it’s a catch 22 for fans that like this style.

Very True. Tonights game was pretty good. Good comeback for Arizona. Their offense looked more like last week during the second half. Memphis really dropped the ball. Don't see them going anywhere with their current QB. Wolford on the other hand could be playing himself to an NFL tryout. If his play holds up ( terrible first half not withstanding).
