And all 3 of them with Herbie

Needless to say, the almost 3yr old was mad when we didn't put him in a Husker shirt at first this morning.  I was more than happy to oblige his request.

Dang! Three?! You must be rich and...nevermind

BTW- I think they would like the other Herbie better

Who is cooking up what for Saturday?

For those of you that smoke meats, do you do it the day before the game?

Many choices.....Brisket, Ribs, pork or grill up some Home Dry Aged Ribeyes. It's gonna be a good eatin season!!

Ribs would go on in the morning, the brisket or Pork the night before.

This college football season is going to be different for me. My dad, my long time football watching buddy passed away suddenly just over a month ago. Sure, we might have differed on our favorite college football teams but he would at least watch the Huskers with me when they were on.

I'll be watching the game, just not sure where yet.

Sorry about this man, loved watching and talking college ball with my father in law.  Sadly he passed away a few years ago and the season just doesnt seem the same with out him.

Luckily for me the game is late and us propriters of the customer service usually work on saturdays so its nice ill get to catch the game.  Nothing special, maybe a beer or two but thats about it.  Just happy to see a game.

Saturday is usually "World in Flames" play day (it's a WW2 strategy game that takes many sessions to play through) with my friends.  We start at noon and sometimes play late, sometimes not, depending on if the others have something going on in the evening.   I recently learned of a not-so local Husker watch party in Boca Raton, FL, but that's 45+ minute drive.

So, it's definitely recording the game just in case, and then deciding if our wargame ends early enough to make that drive, or stay home, with booze (maybe, I really do like soda), popcorn, and maybe other assorted snackage and watch on my 70" screen and thus not have to wear any pants, whether that's at actual Husker game time or later in the night after the guys leave.
