I probably spent $1000 for tickets, 2 hotel rooms, and a rental car to drive 8 hours with my son to not see a game. This really sucks...and even if the play the game after 11 as kids are not going to stay up that late. They should have said screw national coverage and move the game up. At this point I am hoping they call it and reschedule for early tomorrow.

GREAT F'N NEWS TONIGHT since the game isn't going on.  My next door neighbors 11 year old daughter now has a new kidney coming since hers failed and the second is at 15%.  Unfortunately a young kid in

I'm pissed, and I don't have anyone to be pissed about. Figured this is appropriate on multiple levels right now:

The only reason football should stop is because of lightning...Fogbowl...anyone remember that one? The announcers couldn't even seen the field. Referees couldn't see from sideline to sideline. And yet they still played. Rain shmain, get out there and play!

Some fields drain great but after getting drilled with so much water it's dangerous to even play. Referees will even recommend to the coaches that player safety is at a major risk. This happened during the Florida-Idaho game they ended up calling it.

I think i'm going to go drink with the neighbor now.  The wife's giving me grief about "oh yeah we couldn't go out, the game isn't even on right now, they aren't playing yet".  I'm now up that crick and I may be in the doghouse.

Instead of flipping her off you can throw the bones.

Some fields drain so well it almost doesn't matter how hard it rains, the playing surface remains playable. Still, we've all seen games where the fields had enough water for players to make significant splashes when they hit the turf. One of the best things about football is it gets played no matter what, well, except for that pesky lightning.
