I'd like to see him get a couple series in vs Troy with no designed runs if he's ok. He needs all the reps he can get, but selfishly I want to see him torch Michigan in person. 1 Quote Link to comment

I also want him as healthy as possible for Michigan, as I will be there, too. Quote Link to comment

Hope for the best and no cartilage damage. It isnt of the 4-6 week severity. Cut those numbers in half. Really depends on how treatment goes this week and will be evaluated in later part of this week. Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
Hopefully thats(it being an MCL sprain) the case. I am not in the mood to rush him back. Would rather keep him healthy long term but we also need to win some games. Quote Link to comment
Railroader
Well, based on this info . . it's likely Coach will provide more technicolor this afternoon. Quote Link to comment

knapplc
Frost says they've turned that play into the league offices. From the angle he's seen, he doesn't think the intention of the Colorado player was good at all. Sounds like Martinez is going to be a game-time decision. Could play against Troy, but won't know until Saturday. 6 1 Quote Link to comment
knapplc
This may be the angle Frost was talking about? Watch #44. 1 Quote Link to comment

I thought Frost said the replay they turned in was not available to the public? What is the punishment? Is there a policy? Since he plays for sCUm, do they take away his weed for a week? 2 Quote Link to comment
brophog
I'd expect Martinez to be the top secret emergency QB. Bunch is is more than capable but guys need to block and catch for him. Those two key drops in the second half seem to have especially irritated Frost. 3 1 Quote Link to comment
ScawFraw
The fact that he is day to day already is great. If not Troy, then Mochigan for sure. Quote Link to comment
HoustonSker
I agree with turning it over to the league offices, notice how #44 Jacob Callier holds on to Martinez's leg (fine, no biggy) but then starts to roll his body over twisting it in the process. Dirty, eff that guy. It reminds me of an incident in the early 2000s against OU, I think it was Rocky Calmus twisting Crouch's or a RB's leg. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
Unless he's 100 percent, sit him. Bunch is capable. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

It sure looks like #44 grabs & twists the leg when Martinez is on the ground. As for punishment, I'm not sure. I can't remember ever hearing about a player suspended or penalized for a dirty play in the previous game. Quote Link to comment
