Sounds like a great in state player. If he has the motor like the incumbents have then offer him a schollie.

Sounds like he got the same deal as Abner for now. Walk on for 2 years and then go on scholi for 2 years. He could earn it earlier if he makes an impact at ST's. Doesn't sound like his father likes the deal so much though.

In fact his camp testing scores have become legendary of sorts. At Oregon, he was MVP with the highest score in the whole camp

On the plus side Coach Callahan is recruiting in state players. On the down side he is treating some of them as second class citizens with the greyshirt offers. I can see the logic behind it especially if it gives a scholarship to a more nationally touted player this season. But I don't like that they have to wait two years rather than the one year previous greyshirts did.

Noah will get a full ride to another college/university. I hope that Callahan decides to offer before he gets upset and leaves the state like a few of the others have.

I guess I don't see what's wrong with offering this kid! :bang

Many share your feeilings...justified too!

So there are armchair quarterbacks and now there are armchair recruiters? I'm pretty sure if the coaching staff liked what they saw and liked it enough, Keller would have a schollie offer. But what do they know? I mean combined they only have nearly 200 years of coaching expierence......so what the hell, offer the kid!!!

Exactly. What other offers does this kid have beside CSU? He may be getting this scholarship offer only because he is a Nebraska player. He still has a lot to prove and from what I've read from other people who were at the camp, this doesn't surprise them. He's got good measurables but things like stiff hips and change of direction are left to be desired.

If he wants a scholi, he's still got his senior year to earn one. We don't need to hand them out like they're popsicles.

Answer me this Keller won the Oregon camp MVP, but he didn't earn a scholarship from THEM. Maybe they saw the same thing Callahan and crew did.

Souder was offered a grey shirt and he accepted, and when the dust settled on the recruiting class, there ended up being a full scholarship there for him. Perhaps the same will happen for Noah. :restore2

Really, you have to wait two years now to play? That's a raw deal. He will probably end up at Ohio. To me, a greyshirt is not that much different than a walk-on.

Not 2 years to play. 2 years to be on scholi. It basically is like a walk-on for the first 2 years with the promise of the scholi after that. He can earn it quicker if he makes an immediate impact with special teams

Totally old thread I know. But Noah is my cousin, and it's really interesting to see what was said while he was being recruited. Obviously biased, NU missed out on him big time. 2 years of over 100 tackles, with 146 his Junior year. Injuries have plagued him a little....but he's NFL bound. Ohio plays tonight on ESPN, Go Green!

Frank was just talking about him today on the Huskers Illustrated radio show. Didn't think much of it until I saw this thread. Basically talked about how he played right away and has been a very good player for him. I think I got out of the car at that point and didn't hear the rest...
