Heres a guy who bought in, got put in the hospital over it, recovered, saw playing time afterwards and is now leaving. Thoughts?

He didn't do anything to earn playing time moving forward. He wasn't interested in running routes, running through contact, blocking, or returning punts. Nor is he, apparently, interested in making himself better in these aspects of his game in order to warrant playing time going forward under this staff in this program.

Pretty sure he is one of the guys Frost is referring to who wasn't "buying in".  So my thought is you're wrong.

All fans would like to think recruits from all over the country choose their school, team, and state because it's so special.

 

The fact is players choose teams in large part because of the coach and how they fit in that coaches system.
