On the other hand, with Martinez and the eventual pipeline of hand picked QB’s maybe it’s not that important to save husbands RS? 1 Quote Link to comment

He seems perfectly content being the backup QB at Nebraska, so there wouldn't be a worry of him transferring. Plus, if he's an effective backup, that will enable McCaffrey to redshirt in 2019 (or be used at another position). Quote Link to comment

He probably won't even be the #2 QB this season, but he would be a good option if Martinez were injured and Bunch is ineffective.
