One Reason Why Nebraska Will Win
Go Purdue and start bombing away from the start. The passing game is there, and now Adrian Martinez and one of the Big Ten’s best receiving corps has to go off. For all the issues the Huskers have had this season, the passing game hasn’t been a problem when Martinez has been healthy. He’s bombing away for over eight yards per pass, he’s been able to push the deep ball, and he’s great at keeping the pressure on all game long. Most teams throw against the Buckeyes to try to keep up, but Nebraska – with JD Spielman and Stanley Morgan Jr. – should be able to throw because it wants to, and because it can. On the other side of the ball, the Buckeyes aren’t running well. They have the talent, and they have the lash, but they haven’t rushed for more than 155 yards in any of the last five games, and were under 100 in the last two.
One Reason Why Ohio State Will Win
Really? Do YOU want to be the team that has to face this Buckeye squad after having to sit and stew on that loss to Purdue for two weeks? Nebraska really is better over the last few weeks, and it certainly has the firepower, but from the Urban Meyer retirement/health rumors, to the disastrous way the team played in West Lafayette, this is going to be one jacked up squad. How did it play after the blowout loss to Iowa last year? It pitched a near-perfect game in a total decimation of a good Michigan State squad. The tackling needs to be stronger, and the rushing attack needs to come from the running backs, but Dwayne Haskins should go off again. He’s gone Ryan Fitzpatrick – at least the early season version – with three straight 400-yard passing games. He’s putting up a special season, and now he needs a little help. It’s coming this week from the defense that’s about to play a whole lot better.

What’s Going To What’s Going To Happen
Nebraska is about to run into a buzzsaw. Martinez will get his yards, and the Husker offense will be more than fine, but it won’t be enough to overcome a fantastic day from the Buckeye lines. Ohio State will be a bit more balanced, and the defense will actually tackle this week.

Ohio State was looking wobbly in the games leading up to the Purdue loss, playing uninspired in victories against Indiana and Minnesota. Urban Meyer may have preferred to keep playing, but the bye week came at a good time for the Buckeyes, allowing the players to rest and recuperate, while the staff could focus upon rectifying the issues that need fixing. Nebraska is going to put up points, but Ohio State has too much firepower, especially through the air with redshirt sophomore quarterback Dwayne Haskins and a talented group of wide receivers. The Buckeyes get back to their winning ways as November and the push for another shot at a Big Ten title and hopeful College Football Playoff berth begins in earnest.

Didn't realize we were playing the Urban Meyer coached Michigan Buckeyes this week

Why in the hell are they even playing this game. We basically have no chance to win. Wonder what Purdue's odds were?

It's a practice with extreme prejudice?

Who knows, maybe OSU will commit many fumbles or interceptions?   One can dream, right?  :)      Several years ago we came back from what looked like a blowout against OSU.
