Thurston from Pender
Maybe the Bobster’s first team improved the most over the previous year’s team. Don’t look at the record! I was at the MN game last year. This year’s team would beat last year’s team by 40. Easy. 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskersNC949597
Hard to compare 2018 to 1962 I'm ok with the progress made this year, hoping up on hope that the defense improves next year with more quality depth + s&c. Quote Link to comment
LumberJackSker
Is this the worst post ever? 3 1 Quote Link to comment
CheeseHusker
Over the course of a season, certainly possible. The only thing comparable I can think of might be 1981 when Osborne decided some guys name Gill, Rozier, and Fryar were probably worth using. Maybe Pelini's 2008 team gets a mention. brophog
It's hard to say, last year's squad honestly didn't get a fair shake. That's what happens when you effectively fire your coach after Game 3. The real question will be if next year's team is the most improved ever. This team loses games like a first year team does by making little mistakes, and typically fixing those translates into a lot more wins in year 2. Quote Link to comment

HuskersNC949597
Pelini's first team was stacked with untapped defensive talent and a senior QB. This year's team has none of that, so a comparison is a little sketchy. 1 Quote Link to comment

BoNeyard
Pelini was gifted with talent for his first year and didn’t have to go up against, Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio state. Quote Link to comment
Thurston from Pender
Lumber Are you one of those cretins from Creighton? I highly doubt your Husker bona fides! And you living in AZ (allegedly) makes me even more suspicious. Quote Link to comment
