Exactly!

So why do you continue to so unwavering defend him when you admit he's an average coach (at best)?

In what 5 years now. He’s not recruited a decent big 6’9” or bigger with mass or a 3pt shooter. It’s just slashers and guys the play one on one ball.  Webster supposed to be a PG but I find him standing in the corner half the time.  Talent can only wn so many games.

I agree about the big man, but going into tonight we lead the big 10 in 3 pt shooting .  With no size we are easier to defend.

We have 3 games left vs what are "bad" teams. We have 10 games vs teams that are good to very good or even great. If we win the 3 easy ones but go 4-6 (that might be a stretch) in the other 10 we end up with an 18-10 record plus whatever we do in the BIG tourney. If we are a 7 or 8 seed we might get one easy game but eventually draw a great team. 19-11 won't get  us in unfortunately.

I'm not, I just get tired of crazy & unfounded remarks.  I'm just a die hard husker fan who still believes we are the class above all others.

Take care of home and sneak a couple of away games.  Never give up.

I illustrated - with stats - why the comments are NOT unfounded.  You don't have any rebuttal other than laughing at the comments.

It's pretty clear you are the one who's position in unfounded and crazy.

I believe a simple easy change that Miles could have done to benefit the team was against the zone when Roby and Cope were on the bench with fouls, was have Palmer he the guy working the free throw line instead of Nana.  Palmer is going to demand far more attention there being a threat to hit that shot or attack the rim.  This encourages him to get more into attack mode and not settle for stationary long 3s.  Also draws eyes of defenders opening everyone else more during that stretch.

Again another small subtle change that is an easy ingame adjustment that Tim fails to notice or make

And on the hardwood you really need to realize NU has never been a “class above others”

Disagree with your read on "SLH" however if true that would make 2 that fit into that category

Solid post and nice to see somebody come with a rational solution.  The play right at the end of the half where they brought in Thor seemed to open up the middle for JP (need more of that)

Is it really one game though?

Blew it at Minny, blew it at MD, favored at Iowa with the starting center out and they blow it.

That remark was based on we will not make the tournament because of things that happened tonight.  I blamed the on Miles.  Maryland was due to poor ft %, tonight 3 pt shooting.  Like I said after the maryland game, we struggle against big teams due lack of size.  This is miles fault.

I really hope they can get on a roll.  On the other hand if they drop the next couple of home games plus the road game their a$$ will be biting their shorts from the opening tip.

Ahhh, got it!

Like I said, if they win out at home they are in...I am guessing they are favored in every single home game the rest of the year.

May not be vs Wisc,  Mich St,  Ohio St and possibly Minny depending on what they do going forward.

This is a team that believes its press. That's not a talent issue, it's a coaching issue.

One game?

Quote

Nebraska seems caught between trying to defend the three like it did early in the season while also trying to improve its defensive rebounding, and is doing neither. The Huskers are last in the Big Ten in three-point percentage defense, 10th in field goal percentage defense, 12th in rebounding margin, 13th in defensive rebounds per game, and last in defensive rebounding percentage. It's not time to panic yet, but there are some real issues that need to be resolved.

That is exactly what I said.  When we help out in the paint, we get burned beyond the arc!   Our biggest issue is the lack of size!!!!!!!

That is not exactly what you said.  You said those issues had only shown up in one game.  They haven't.  It's a full on trend.

I've been saying all year that we have trouble with big players and the lack of recruiting bigs is on Miles.  We only played against 2 teams with good bigs:  Maryland (we lose due to FT) and Iowa.

I don’t think I’m the only one that can’t figure out where you stand on the status of this team and it’s coach.

Why, because I stand behind this team win or lose.   I just do not have the high expectations as everyone else.  We win at home and steal a couple on the road and we make the show.  We lack a big man to be real good.   Miles biggest mistake was hiring Molinari., as he needs an offensive mind.    Bench coaches can make an avg. coach look good.   And yes, I am ready for new leadership, but it makes no sense to gets too excited this early in the season, as he is here for now!

I grew up with seasons tickets in football, basketball & baseball.  My mom was a fanatic.  She wore holes in the carpet on away games.  I've been through good & bad seasons.  FYI - I about lost it on the Minnesota game.:D
