He and Dabo are both giant babies today. There's SEC bias but that doesn't mean hearing it from Clemson's coach helps. His team's SOS is weak and they're ranked in the top 4. He has nothing to complain about.

Unless they lose their CCG. That would be hilarious.

I'm not implying they shouldn't be top 4. Just that they shouldn't be ranked higher or be surprised that Georgia gets some credit for their schedule.

They lost to the team Clemson beat easily yesterday. Georgia lost to SC and is still in, but if Clemson lost to SC they’d be automatically taken out of the equation. That’s the point he was making.

And yeah, he has every right to be bitter. Defending national champs who’ve yet to be beaten and left out of the initial top 4, for something out of their control like the strength of conference opponents. It’s not Clemson’s fault that A&M didn’t pan out this year or that FSU quit recruiting offensive lineman 4 years ago or that Miami & VT are not what they once were.

But the point he’s making has been how it works since the dawn of time and has zero to do with bias. If you lose game 12 you’re unlikely to go to the national championship game unless something crazy happens. What happens at the end of the season has always held more weight. A 12-1 team that lost in week 6 is far more likely to get in than a 12-1 team that lost in week 12. The argument about South Carolina is stupid for that reason.

And to the 2nd argument, initial playoff rankings are irrelevant. Week 1 there are 100+ undefeated teams, some were ranked higher than others. Week 6 there are less than that, week 8 there are even less, and so on. Clemson didn’t look great at week 8 compared to the 4 teams ahead of them, but they kept winning. And it doesn’t matter whose fault it is that the scheduled opponents suck. It still matters if they suck.

What does any other season, that isn't the 2019 season, have to do with anything?

Just because their conference's overall strength isn't their faults, doesn't mean it shouldn't be used against them.... It still matters.

I've always been of the opinion that the four teams with the best resumes (most deserving) should get in, not necessarily the four best.

So you’d be ok with an unbeaten, defending National Champion not getting the right to defend their title?

It’s the equivalent of a UFC champion being stripped of their title because two other fighters looked to be better. To be the man, you gotta beat the man...or at least someone does.

Lol, get out of here. Alabama lost to Auburn in week 12 just two years ago before winning the title.

And yes, the initial playoff rankings are irrelevant, but it is extremely insulting to the team that dominated the playoffs last season to hold them out, when they’ve still yet to be beaten.

Is nothing like that...If there are four teams with better resumes, than yes, I'd be fine with it
