AOC is great. I even disagree with some of her more radically liberal ideas. But she's so charismatic and takes no s#!t from anyone, and it's hilarious to see people keep trying to bring her down and embarrass her and fall so flat on their faces.

Her Twitter game is, as the kids say, on point.

It almost feels bad watching her roll the dinosaurs because she so clearly gets the medium and they do not. I also notice a lot of sexist undertones used in arguments against her because, well, it seems like a lot of right-wing males feel pretty intimidated.

This seems pretty fair, IMO.

Ever notice how nasty and personal Repubicans get when they go after Democratic women? It seems to me at times that part of it is that they wish women knew their place - subordinate to men.

You can argue with that if you want, but the GOP is more explicitly becoming the party of straight white men, and naturally that's going to put them at odds with anyone outside that group.

It was a twitter comparison (i.e. not mine), but it was very apt. AOC is opposite Trump, Trump for the Democrat Party. The right/Republicans are laser focused on trying to bring her down, but everything they bring up endears her to the Left/Democrats even more.

Republican politicians, or Republican voters?

She is definitely getting a reaction from the Republican base, but I don't think it has anything to do with her being a non-white woman, and everything to do with her far-left political stances. It's a similar reaction to what Bernie received, and he's what most consider to be the devil (an old, white male).

It seems like the Democrats want to push that narrative more than anything: "You hate her because she's a minority, and she dances!".... No, we dislike her because of her socialistic, retread policies.

The bolded part made me laugh. Those retread ideas like Medicare-for-All and a Green New Deal. (Yes, I get that you're really referring to her higher top marginal tax rate which is an old idea, but this still struck me as funny.)
