Maurice Washington Faces Charges

Yes but people say this case is different since Mo was no longer a minor and the other boys were at the time of their incident. That said after some research I'd be surprised if Mo caught more than a misdeminor charge.

Do you mind sharing why - being a felony and all - that they’re treated differently because he’s a minor and Mo wasn’t? Or were they not charged with a felony? Legitimately curious

People conjuring up “second video holder from behind the grassy knoll” defenses to try and justify why a one half suspension was perfectly fine, is certainly something.

I disagree with you on everything except this, which made me laugh.  I think bringing up unicorns and leprechauns is a Nebraska thing when dealing with uncomfortable situations.

They weren't charged with a felony. The only felony Maurice is charged with is child pornography, which given the circumstances I would imagine he would be able to plead it down to a misdeminor. That isn't for sure, but I think that is what ends up happening. The revenge porn charge is already a misdeminor.

I disagree that it's an uninformed opinion. There's evidence for me to make an informed opinion on the matter. The university choosing not to help me make a more informed opinion does not mean that I simply have to throw up my hands and say I can conclude nothing.

You are not a judge, there is no exhibits being submitted into your court of law.  Pretty sure the case hasn't' even been argued in a court of law.  So, please share this evidence you have with the rest of the board that is so absolute that you can 1 up the coaches and pass judgement with your unwavering gavel on a bulletin board for Husker fans?

Just to make this the same thing - you also have a video of the coworker performing a sex act when she was only 15 and to get back at her you send it to her.  Now that we are comparing apples to apples, YES YOU SHOULD BE FIRED!

This isn't a question as to what he did.  He had a video of a child performing a sex act and he sent that video on.   The question seems to be how bad is this really.  If I were the girls father, and someone who was of legal age still had an old video that should have been deleted or reported as soon as it was received and then sent that video in revenge there would probably be an entirely different trial being discussed because that is just sick, wrong, and thankfully illegal.

Doesn't work that way.

You're committing a fallacy of emotional plea:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appeal_to_emotion

Remember, justice is blind...so it matters very little what the crime might be.

So Frost is going to be a hypocrite and not follow what he was preaching last year?

Or if he wants to die on that hill then just keep him on team but cant play or travel until its resolved

Someone on Twitter was saying that one of the other boys involved only received probation. Any truth to that? (My apologies if I missed that in a prior post)

I believe that’s right and it was for revenge porn. But he was 15 or 16 at the time.

I think most get your point and I doubt this will change your opinion, but I believe “recruit you” is different than being on campus and a member of the team.

The university has decided to support the player, not just Frost, and I also believe there is much more information we are not privy too that would give the university pause reason to let this play out in court first.

To me, you are always recruiting. Even when on campus so each their own.
