I wonder why they do the brackets like that.  I would think they would have two teams get a bye and the remaining 12 teams get matched up in 6 games.  Those 6 winners then move on to a bracket of 8 teams.

I would guess six games in one day doesn't fit into a TV schedule as well.

And more of a reward for the top teams.

If I take a guess I see this:

NU/PSU:  PSU

NW/IU:  IU

Illini/Minny:  Illini

Wisky/PSU:  Wisky

Rutgers/OSU:  Rutgers

IU/Iowa:  Indiana

MSU/Illini:  Illini

MD/Wisky: Wisky

Rutgers/PU:  Rutgers

IU/Michigan:  Michigan

Illini/Wisky:  Wisky

Rutgers/Michigan:  Michigan

Michigan over Wisconsin.

Checked out the Rutgers roster...they have five guys who are about ten foot tall. Do we match up at all or are these a bunch of useless giraffes? I'm assuming we're okay here with Roby and Harris playing like Charles Barkley.

Well, prior to Maryland and Rutgers joining the conference, there wasn’t a 13th seed to advance. So, that’s twice in not very many years.

My son pointed out that the two newest league members have gotten beat by the 3rd-newest member.
