TGHusker
I had to post this someplace and thought this to be the best. Many of you may not know or remember Eddie Sutton, former Okla State basketball coach - now age 83. He is the only member of the 800+ win club not in the Naismith hall of fame. He has now been rejected for the 6th time. He is the only coach to take 4 different schools to the big dance (Creighton, Ark, Kentucky, OK State) and he took Arkansas 1x and OSU 2x to the final four. Something political is going on - my guess by some one who didn't care for the fact that Kentucky got on sanctions while he was coach there in 1989 - an assistant coach doing something wrong. Those of us in Okla who have followed Sutton (and both of his son's who are coaches) know what kind of coach he is. His coaching tree is impressive - Bill Self being one. He is well respected in the state even by OU fans and it was disheartening to hear that politics is keeping him out of the Hall. https://www.tulsaworld.com/sports/college/osu/bill-haisten-unbelievable-eddie-sutton-denied-again-by-naismith-voters/article_98b2f082-b719-5a96-9929-4056c9a8158e.html?utm_source=WhatCountsEmail&utm_medium=NEWS - Morning Headlines&utm_campaign=Morning Headlines&utm_content=Morning Headlines Quote Link to comment
HuskermanMike
Texas Tech got some great transfers and developed a couple of players and look where they are. Hoiberg seems to have the right mindset to get us to greater places and it first and foremost starts with a tournament win. He likes getting transfers and developing high school guys. If it can work at a place like Tech it can work here. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Watching the ladies national title game now. Seeing the Baylor center fall to the ground instantly grimacing in pain holding her knee and pounding on the floor with her fist. Tough thing to watch. Hope she's o.k. Quote Link to comment
